Wayne Walker was discovered on his living room ßoor with stab wounds and a slashed throat.

That was Nov. 24, 2003. Police have surveillance video, DNA and fingerprints, but they don't have the killer.

The 52-year-old Walker took care of his mother, visiting her almost every day after work at Amtrak. After going several days without talking to Walker, his mother contacted worried co-workers and then called the apartment manager to check on her son.

His nude body was found about 4 p.m. that afternoon. Authorities said they believed he had been dead for days.

Surveillance video from Walker's apartment complex on the 1400 block of Rock Creek Ford Road, NW showed him leaving the building with an unidentified man on Nov. 21 and re-entering with the same man later that day. The video then showed the man leaving by himself the following day.

Police said there was evidence that Walker, a gay man, had been sexually active the night of his death. Police said his lifestyle probably had something to do with his killing, as he would sometimes pick up men he didn't know.

A reward of $25,000 is being offered for information that can help lead to a conviction in Walker's death.
