In an interview with GQ magazine, Sen. Marco Rubio was asked who his best friend was – besides his wife.

“Jim DeMint,” Rubio replied, referring to the conservative U.S. Senator from South Carolina. “He’s a great source of wisdom as a person who’s had to make decisions that have made him unpopular in his own party.”

DeMint of course was an early Rubio supporter when he ran against the establishment Republican candidate Gov. Charlie Crist.

Rubio also mentioned former Florida Governor Jeb Bush as “another guy I admire for his ability to analyze issues and call them for what they are.”
