SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) — A film produced by Marvin Winans Jr. and featuring Vickie Winans is to be shown at a Detroit-area theater.

The director, producers and actors are scheduled to attend the screening of "Dreams" Thursday night at the AMC Star Southfield.

The movie follows four characters as they struggle to achieve their dreams while overcoming various obstacles.

In addition to Vickie Winans, "Dreams" stars Geoffrey Owens, who appeared on "The Cosby Show," and "American Idol" alum Syesha Mercado among others.
