Many Maryland government agencies and nonprofits working to repair and replace facilities damaged by Hurricane Sandy are now eligible for federal funding, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency said. Organizations and agencies working in Allegany, Calvert, Caroline, Charles, Dorchester, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, St. Mary's, Talbot, Washington, Wicomico and Worcester counties and in Baltimore are eligible for the aid. FEMA has approved limited funds for Virginia and the District.
