A former Maryland judicial system employee was sentenced for accepting $10,000 in bribes to falsify more than 100 urine tests of federal defendants.

Christopher Womack, 43, of Forestville, was sentenced Monday to nine months of home confinement and three years probation.

Womack, who worked for a company that provides drug tests to the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services in Maryland, accepted dozens bribes and received more than $10,000 in bribe payments, prosecutors said.

Womack's sentence comes a week after his former boss, Lauren Jeannette Diggs, of Rockville, pleaded guilty to the bribery conspiracy and to falsely testifying before a grand jury investigating the bribery scheme.

Diggs, 50, is set to be sentenced April 22.
