Matt Drudge is not impressed by Chris Christie as New Jersey voters go to the polls to reelect the state's Republican governor to a second term.

In a series of tweets, Drudge panned Christie for behaving like a Democrat, citing Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia, and Bill De Blasio, the Democratic mayoral candidate who is expecting an easy victory in New York City.

"McAuliffe, De Blasio and Christie: Triple feature in a Republican's nightmare," Drudge wrote. "Hug a conservative today."

Earlier on Tuesday, Drudge tweeted another dismissive tweet against Christie.

"Is there much difference between McAuliffe and Christie?" he wrote. "Besides their respective 'families'?"

Prominent Republicans like former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are promoting Christie's bipartisan appeal in New Jersey as proof that he would be a great candidate for president, but conservatives generally remain wary.
