MIAMI (AP) — Law enforcement will beef up its presence across Miami to ensure no one gets out of hand following Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Miami Beach police plan to have extra officers on the city's streets as the Miami Heat take a 3-1 lead into Thursday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. No team has ever blown that spread in the best of seven series.

Miami Police Sgt. Freddy Cruz says Biscayne Boulevard which runs in front of AmericaAirlines Arena will be closed as usual after the game to alleviate traffic.

He says officers are prepared for a few impromptu street parties if Miami wins the championship. But police expect fans to cooperate once officers reopen the street to traffic.
