Left-wing filmmaker and activist Michael Moore was among the chorus of liberal pundits panning President Obama’s debate performance against Republican candidate Mitt Romney tonight. He added in a jab against the Democratic Party’s 2004 nominee while he was at it.

Moore tweeted:

This is what happens when u pick John Kerry as your debate coach.

He also offered an explanation for Obama’s lackluster performance: “For the past 2 days, the Right has been pounding their ‘Obama is an angry black man video.’ Did this affect O, that he had to appear timid?”

The best he could say about Obama’s performance was this: “Ok, here’s my optimistic tweet: Romney didn’t convince a single Obama voter to change their vote. But O needed to fire up the base. Not done.”
