Here comes the child bride!
Miley Cyrus and “Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth have confirmed they are engaged.
“I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam,” Miley, 19, tells People magazine.
The young singer/actress met the Australian actor, 22, when they co-starred in the Nicholas Sparks movie “The Last Song.” The pair became an item when she was 16 and he was 19 and have been dating on and off for three years.
According to the mag, Liam proposed on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.
But with Miley in the studio and Liam slated to shoot several upcoming films, who knows when we’ll get to see Billy Ray Cyrus step into a tux and walk his daughter down the aisle.
John: Taylor Swift ‘humiliated me’
Poor John Mayer.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the notorious oversharer confided to the mag about how terribly he was treated by the meanest singer in the business.
Yup, we’re talking about the 22-year-old Nashville-based country singer, philanthropist and role model for young girls everywhere — Taylor Swift.
John, 34, said that after the two briefly dated and then parted ways, Taylor’s post-fling song “Dear John” made him feel terrible.
“I didn’t deserve it,” he said, angrily adding, “It was a really lousy thing to do.”
It seems John would have appreciated a heads-up when the song —with lyrics such as “Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with?” — was released.
“I never got an email. I never got a phone call,” he said. “I was really caught off-guard.”
John said not only is the song “cheap,” the timing of the release really didn’t work for him.
“It really humiliated me at a time when I’d already been dressed down,” he says. (Let’s not forget, at the time John described ex Jessica Simpson as “sexual napalm,” said Jennifer Aniston was stuck in 1998 and said, um, a certain part of his body was a white supremacist.)
“I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you’ve ever been, someone kicked you even lower?” he said.
Like we said earlier. Poor John Mayer.
