According to a schedule released by the Romney campaign, Mitt Romney plans to attend a NASCAR race in Richmond on Saturday.

Romney was ridiculed by liberal pundits when he attended a February NASCAR race in Daytona and explained to reporters that he didn’t follow NASCAR closely but had “some great friends who are NASCAR team owners.”

Saturday’s race is the Federated Auto Parts 400 at the Richmond International Raceway.
