John Jervis, a writer for Gay Pride, says he is very pleased that Barack Obama endorsed same-sex marriage. He’s a North Carolina native who says he hasn’t been back to the state in 41 years. He lives in New York and loves Chick-fil-A food, but says he can’t go there any more–and anyway that there are no Chick-fil-As in New York. In response to my speculation that some SSM advocates must wish that Obama had come out for SSM before, rather than a day after, he said firmly, “I was disappointed.”
