RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia economic development officials have launched a mobile app to help bring business to the state.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership says the "YesVA" app is a new, innovative tool aimed at bringing jobs and investments to Virginia.

The app allows economic developers, clients and consultants to perform site and building searches, and compare Virginia to other states from a mobile device.

It also allows users to view profiles of Virginia communities, regions and metropolitan areas, as well as learn about recent industry announcements in those communities. Users also can use the app to communicate directly with state economic development officials.

The app is available for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
