Montana Democrats have selected a little-known state legislator as their replacement candidate for the U.S. Senate race against Republican Rep. Steve Daines after Sen. John Walsh dropped out. Delegates voted Saturday for Amanda Curtis of Butte over Wilsall rancher Dirk Adams during a special nominating convention in Helena. Curtis has less than three months before the Nov. 4 elections to introduce herself and make her case to Montana voters to keep the seat controlled by Democrats for more than a century.
