Montgomery County Police released a composite drawing of a man they want to talk with in connection with a fatal stabbing in Gaithersburg last month.

Police said the man was seen "in the vicinity" of the Dec. 3 slaying of Cesar Smith.

Police said Smith, 45, and another man were in an apartment at the Whetstone Complex when, shortly after midnight, several people entered the apartment and a fight broke out.

Investigators still believe that the crime was not random and that the victim and suspects may have had some association.

Detectives are asking anyone who may recognize the subject to contact police at (240) 773-5070.
