Montgomery County police are seeking information about the whereabouts of a man suspected in a scam that occurred at Nordstrom and eyeglass stores.

Police said that they have obtained an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Les Royal Brown, of an unconfirmed address. Authorities arrested three others in connection with the scam on Wednesday.

During the scheme, the scammers would purchase an item at a store and obtain both a standard and a gift receipt. The thieves would then return the items without a receipt, and they would return identical items, apparently stolen, to the stores using the regular and gift receipts. After each return, the scammers would receive cash refunds, police said.

In 2012, the thieves were responsible for 30 fraudulent transactions at the Nordstrom's at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, police said.
