CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — More Mitt Romney surrogates are coming to North Carolina to keep Piedmont and foothills supporters energized entering the final 10 days of the campaign and to urge people to vote.

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant planned to visit the state Saturday to participate in early-voting events at Republican offices in Asheboro, Lexington, Mooresville and Marion.

The GOP also says former U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin was slated to attend a Romney campaign event in Charlotte designed as an outreach to Hispanic voters. He'll also visit Greensboro for get-out-the-vote activities.

The two are the latest political notables and celebrities who have visited North Carolina on behalf of Romney and President Barack Obama in recent months. The wife and son of Vice President Joe Biden planned to campaign Sunday in the state.
