The House Homeland Security Committee will hold a field hearing in McAllen, Texas, today to discuss the recent increase in unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. Texas Gov. Rick Perry will testify to the surge.

Pennsylvania embattled Republican Gov. Tom Corbett was given more bad news this week when a Franklin & Marshall College poll showed the incumbent down 22 points to his Democratic challenger, Tom Wolf. Wolf blew through a crowded Democratic primary and has carried that momentum into the general election against a vulnerable incumbent.

Vice President Joe Biden will deliver remarks in Philadelphia Friday at Independence Hall in honor of the Fourth of July. The VP's remarks will be in the morning.
