President Obama will meet with Texas Gov. Rick Perry today to discuss the ongoing crisis at the U.S. southern border. Obama had planned to visit the Lone Star State for fundraisers and a speech on the economy, but will now focus much of his attention on the recent increase in unaccompanied minors crossing the border. Perry requested the meeting last week during a field hearing on immigration.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee will discuss the consequences surrounding the apprehension of minors crossing the border today on Capitol Hill.

Sen. Claire McCaskill will release findings from her campus sexual assault survey today on the Hill. Campus sexual assaults have risen at an alarming level in recent months, even prompting the White House to investigate the issue and ultimately release a report.
