Mosquito expert is Vt.'s new state entomologist

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets has a new entomologist.

Alan Graham specializes in mosquito management.

Over the past decade at the agency, his work has focused on surveillance and mosquito suppression activities. He has assembled a collection of 45 species of mosquito for the state.

He will be based at the state lab in Berlin.

Graham is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a master's degree in entomology and applied ecology.
