The host of MSNBC's "The Ed Show," Ed Schultz, is calling on “Superman” President Obama to “take it” to Republicans in tonight's State of the Union address.

On his show Monday night, Schultz included a short cartoon showing Obama dressed as Superman buzzing around the White House. Schultz also stood by a TV set that showed the president beside the words “action hero.”

He urged the president to make good on his threat to “bypass” Congress with executive orders. “So what if the Republicans don't like it?” asked the cable star.

But he also aired a bit of frustration with Obama. “President Obama can’t be blowing smoke this time.”
