MSNBC's Chuck Todd this morning explained that President Obama has run out of time to "disqualify" Mitt Romney, and has to scramble in his remaining weeks to reassert his case for re-election.

"Look, the president's got bigger problems than trying to disqualify Mitt Romney now," he explained on Morning Joe asserting that Obama missed his opportunity in the first debate. "The president has to requalify himself for a second term."

Todd suggested that the Obama campaign's new advertising push is a "closing argument" attempt, but perhaps is a bit late.

"I think they now realize that - two weeks is not enough time to have the conversation with voters that they want to have," Todd said. "He missed his opportunity. He blew it in that first debate."
