EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State University says the MSU Community Music School has moved and will reopen Jan. 7 at the new location.

The university says the new location will give its students and community members of all ages "a centrally located hub for extracurricular music education and music therapy."

The music school has leased space from the East Lansing Public Schools for 10 years. The space was recently sold to the University Reformed Church.

The university says the public is invited to attend an open house from 3-5 p.m. Jan. 20 to see the new space and learn about the school's offerings.
