HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Montana author, photographer and former X-Games competitor Kevin Michael Connolly is taking his thrill-seeking to a whole new level on the Travel Channel's new series "Armed and Ready."
Connolly, who was born without legs, is the author of the book "Double Take," which includes photos he took around the world of peoples' initial reaction to seeing him.
The show premieres with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday. In the first episode, Connolly tries to climb a 50-foot tree with lumberjacks in Tennessee and traverse Class 4 rapids on a custom raft. In the second, he travels to Hawaii in an attempt to dive off a 40-foot cliff into the ocean. He also rides a zip line 300 feet above the jungle.
The show also features the equipment he creates to tackle his adventures.
