House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, said that President Obama was demonstrating his strength by going to Congress for approval of war with Syria.
"I can’t say that it isn’t something that I didn’t know before, but I certainly do think that it’s a sign of strength …" Pelosi said in a Q&A with Time magazine. "I would say he’s a tough hombre."
Pelosi said that Obama didn't need to get congressional authorization to act in Syria, but added that it "strengthened his hand."
"He knows, as commander-in-chief, better than anybody how weary of war our country is," Pelosi said.
