Speaking with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell moments ago, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi D-Calif. explained that Congress could easily pass a ban on “assault magazines.”

“Right away today, this week, we could pass the ban on assault magazines,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi described the large capacity gun magazines as “the attachment to a gun, it makes every gun that it’s compatible with – an assault weapon.”

Pelosi explained that she met with some NRA members in the Democratic caucus earlier in the day who indicated that they would be willing to support more gun restrictions.
