Neb. science event to focus on Platte River basin

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A Nebraska science program will showcase a time-lapse photography project about the Platte River basin.

The Sunday with a Scientist program for children and families is set for Dec. 16 at the University of Nebraska State Museum in Lincoln. The program will run from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The event will teach museum visitors about how water is affected by natural events and human engineering. It will feature speakers Michael Farrell, a television production manager for Nebraska Educational Telecommunications, wildlife photographer Michael Forsberg, and Lincoln science teacher Sara LeRoy Toren.
