OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Organizers are seeking applications for engaging, hands-on exhibit booths for school-aged children during the Nebraska Science Festival Expo this spring.

The free expo is to be held at the Durham Museum on April 12-13 and geared toward elementary-aged youths. The expo is part of the inaugural Nebraska Science Festival that will be held at sites throughout the Omaha area.

There is no charge for a booth, but those who staff the booths must provide their own materials. Expo organizers are looking for activities or demonstrations that feature science in a unique, dramatic or unusual manner.

Application proposals are subject to approval by the festival advisory committee. They should be submitted online at http://www.nescifest.com/participate/expo/ by Friday to be considered for inclusion in printed materials.
