Nepal PM Expands Cabinet

Three months after being elected as the country's executive head, Nepal's Prime Minister Sushil Koirala Monday inducted three more members into his 21-member cabinet. With the expansion, Xinhua reported, the number of ministers reached 24. Sunil Thapa of Rastriya Prajatantra Party took oath as the minister for commerce and supplies while Giri Bahadur KC was sworn in as the state minister for the same ministry. Nilam KC, a leader of the Communist Party of Nepal- United Marxist-Leninist, was sworn-in as minister for women, children and social welfare.
