New ad blasts Chuck Hagel's confusion on Iran

A brutal new ad from the Emergency Committee for Israel slams Chuck Hagel, highlighting the most embarrassing sequence from last week’s confirmation hearing, when he struggled to explain the Obama administration’s policy on Iran’s nuclear program.

Over the weekend, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said opposition to Hagel’s nomination to lead the Department of Defense was “intensifying,” but he said it’s unclear whether Republicans would try to block the appointment by filibuster.
