Crossroads GPS, the 501c4 non-profit co-founded by Karl Rove, launched a new $25 million television ad campaign today that will air in eight swing states.

The ad opens with CBS Evening News’ Scott Pelley declaring, “Good evening, This is the worst economic recovery America has ever had.” A female then darkly recounts, “”41 straight months of unemployment over 8 percent. Almost four million fewer jobs than President Obama predicted. 23 million Americans without full-time work. The results of President Obama’s failed stimulus policies.”

Then Pelley’s voice plays again: “The worst economic recovery Americas has ever had.”

The ad hits televisions today in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia.
