Rep. Ann Kuster, D-N.H., commented on the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack after video surfaced showing her refusing to take constituent questions on the topic during a Nov. 25 forum.

“Like all Americans, I was horrified by the tragic attack on our embassy in Benghazi that killed four patriotic Americans," Kuster said, per a statement provided to the Washington Examiner. "Our focus must remain on finding those responsible, bringing them to justice, and taking every necessary step to prevent an attack like this from ever happening again.”

Kuster originally refused to comment on Benghazi when she was asked if she supported the idea of appointing a congressional committee composed of House and Senate lawmakers to investigate the handling of the attack.

"I'm certainly not here to talk about it. We're here to talk about the Middle East," Kuster said at the November event, hosted by the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire.

"Rep. Kuster was not as clear as she would have liked to be in her response, but she believes we need to get to the bottom of what happened in Benghazi and bring those responsible to justice," a Kuster aide told the Examiner. "She has traveled to Israel and Africa, and at this particular event was speaking about her most recent trip to Israel at the request of the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire."
