CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire residents who haven't signed up for insurance under the federal health care overhaul law can expect to find reminders around every corner as the open enrollment period comes to a close.
Planned Parenthood of Northern New England is one of the groups serving as navigators to help consumers explore their options. The organization added 50 additional appointment time slots for the final two weeks, is holding more enrollment events on nights and weekends and is targeting libraries, hair salons, fitness clubs and bars in hopes of finding young people to sign up. Other navigators and marketplace assister groups also will be busy as the March 31 deadline nears.
According to the latest enrollment figures, about 21,600 New Hampshire residents signed up between Oct. 1 and Feb. 28.
