With a population fluent in acronyms -- FBI, EPA and even Joe Biden's famous slippage BFD -- you'd think anyone opening a business in Washington would avoid awkward initials. Not the case for Woodward Takeout Food. Not only does the forthcoming restaurant's name turn into an eyebrow-raising acronym, but a sign on the building uses it to recruit employees. Chef Jeff Buben didn't think WTF would be interpreted that way. "Maybe they'll get a laugh out of it, who knows -- if it makes them smile, it makes them smile," he said. Buben's putting two concepts in the space that formerly housed Potenza. Woodward Table will serve lunch and dinner, while Woodward Takeout Food will serve breakfast and lunch.
