MCCARR, Ky. (AP) — Restrooms are being constructed in the Hatfield McCoy Park in McCarr as Pike County officials get ready for a surge of summer tourists.
The park sits on the banks of the Tug Fork River separating Kentucky and West Virginia. It will be site of weekend plays reenacting the famous fued between the two families beginning in July.
The newly formed Hatfield & McCoy Arts Council is putting on the play, its first project, at the Hatfield & McCoy Theatre in the park.
A news release from the county called the restrooms "much-needed."
