BETHEL, N.Y. (AP) — State police have arrested several people on drug charges in connection with the Mysteryland Festival at Bethel Woods Center of the Arts.
Among those arrested at the holiday weekend music festival is a 23-year old Locust Valley woman. Evelyn Pierrepont is charged with felony criminal possession of LSD. She was arraigned, remanded to Sullivan County Jail and later ordered released.
Troopers say a traffic stop in Bethel also resulted in several other arrests on drug charges, with most of the suspects from the metropolitan New York City area.
Two other people from out of state were arrested after being detained by security when they attempted to enter the festival with narcotics.
Bethel Woods describes the event as the world's longest-running electronic music festival.
