Dylan Byers gets a response from the New York Times explaining why it edited its editorial criticizing the Obama administration.
“The administration has now lost all credibility,” the Times originally declared, sparking surprise from political figures and journalists.
Later the line was changed to, “The administration has now lost all credibility on this issue.”
“The change was for clarity’s sake,” editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal explained. “It was clear from the context of the editorial that the issue of credibility related to this subject and the final edit of the piece strengthened that point.”
