THE CAR: The 2014 Corvette will arrive at dealers this fall. It's totally redone, sharing only two parts with the current car, and it's the first redesign in nine years.

THE CHANGES: New small-block 6.2-Liter V-8 engine that can run on four cylinders at highway speeds to use less gas. Aluminum frame, carbon fiber hood and roof to save weight. Styling with design cues from the current Corvette and the 1963 Sting Ray. Goes from zero to 60 mph in under four seconds, a few tenths faster than the current base model.

THE PRICE: Not released, but chief engineer says if you can afford one now, you can afford a new one. Current base price is $49,600.
