ANTI-THEFT: The Obama administration announced a broad new effort to fight the growing theft of American trade secrets following fresh evidence linking cyberstealing to China's military.

THE BACKGROUND: The administration says indications are that economic espionage is increasing. This week U.S. cybersecurity firm Mandiant found more than 140 companies, most of which are in the US, had been compromised.
