A group of activists is protesting in Denver to mark the second anniversary of a U.S. Supreme Court decision that eased restrictions on campaign spending by corporations.
People gathered outside the Capitol on Friday to commemorate the 2010 decision in the Citizens United case. The Supreme Court ruled in that case that independent political spending by corporations can't be limited under the First Amendment.
Activists planned to meet lawmakers after the protest. A second protest was planned for early afternoon in downtown Denver.
