A federal judge is set to hear an anti-abortion group's request for a court order requiring the state to allow it to display its materials near the Wyoming State Capitol.
U.S. District Judge Nancy Freudenthal has scheduled a hearing Monday morning in Cheyenne on a request from WyWatch Family Action's lawsuit against the state.
The group claims that state officials discriminated against it by refusing to allow it to display anti-abortion materials during last year's legislative session. Other groups were allowed to display materials on other subjects in the tunnel between the State Capitol and the Herschler Building.
The State Building Commission, made up of top state elected officials, last week voted not to allow any groups to display materials. State lawyers say that ought to end the group's lawsuit.
