A Shreveport faith-based nonprofit agency has added substance abuse education to its programs.

Northwest Louisiana Community Development Corp. unveiled its "Center of Hope" program on Monday, according to The Times of Shreveport (http://bit.ly/xobJOD). The program will offer classes on substance abuse, anger management and parenting classes at two Shreveport locations. It will also offer drug screening.

Tremain Pipkins, a program officer with the nonprofit agency, said the program will serve people referred by courts and social services agencies as well as people who sign up on their own.

Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church created the nonprofit in 1999 to provide social service and outreach programs.
