Police say a Baker High School student was arrested after his principal reported that he threatened to punch her in the face.

Police Capt. Darryl Rainwater tells The Advocate (http://bit.ly/zE0CQH ) that 18-year-old Joshua Franklin became upset because a teacher confiscated his cellphone and Franklin tried to retrieve it from a worker in the school's office.

When the principal intervened, Rainwater said Franklin allegedly cursed her and threatened to hit her.

Franklin was booked Wednesday with disturbing the peace and assault on a school teacher.

It couldn't be determined if Franklin had an attorney.
