A hearing for an 18-year-old man charged in a plot to bomb his Roy high school has been delayed.

Police say Dallin Morgan and a 16-year-old friend had planned for months to bomb an assembly at Roy High School, then steal a plane and flee the country.

Morgan is charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction. A hearing Wednesday was delayed until Feb. 23. His lawyer had no comment.

He faces a possible life sentence if convicted on the charge.

The 16-year-old boy is charged with the same count in juvenile court, but prosecutors are seeking to try him as an adult.

The Associated Press normally does not identify juveniles who are suspects in crimes or charged in juvenile court.
