The last of three teenagers accused of plotting a shooting spree at Lakeshore High School near Mandeville has ended with him admitting to conspiracy to commit terrorizing and was immediately sentenced to 18 months in jail, with 15 months suspended.
The Times-Picayune (http://bit.ly/xjKJu7 ) reports the teenager's plea of "true," the juvenile equivalent of guilty, was entered Friday during a closed hearing at the St. Tammany Parish courthouse in Covington.
The defendant has served slightly less than two months at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center awaiting trial. He was arrested in early August and released on bond in late September.
The trio was arrested after authorities learned of their plot to shoot up the school Aug. 8, the opening day of the 2011 school year.
