Authorities are investigating a series of fires at an apartment building in Norfolk.

Three fires have occurred at The Rotunda in a week.

The latest was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Norfolk Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Harry Worley says firefighters found trash burning in a hallway.

Worley tells The Virginian-Pilot (http://bit.ly/yN3cOX ) that one person suffered minor smoke inhalation and was taken to a hospital.

On Jan. 25, decorations were removed from a door and set on fire. Another fire occurred Tuesday morning in a hallway closet. No injuries were reported.

All three fires occurred on the building's fifth floor.
