Newt makes another trip to the zoo

"[V]ery excited to see komodo dragons, black-footed ferrets and more at Phoenix zoo this afternoon."

-- Former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, tweeting his excitement about a Thursday trip to the Phoenix Zoo. Gingrich was in the area for a book signing but took the time to squeeze in a behind-the-scenes tour of the institute. Zoo President Bert Castro told KSWT News that he invited Gingrich because he knew the former House speaker was fond of animals.
