CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The head of New Hampshire's information technology agency is retiring.

Gov. John Lynch announced Monday that Information Technology Commissioner Bill Rogers is leaving to pursue opportunities in the private sector. Rogers has headed the department since February 2011.

Lynch designated Peter Hastings to assume leadership of the department and plans to nominate him as interim commissioner. Hastings has worked at the department since 2007 and currently is agency software director.
