INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Six candidates remain in the running for two open seats on an Indiana board tasked with overseeing the state's electric, natural gas and telephone utilities.

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission Nominating Committee said Tuesday that Carol Drake of Whitestown, Jim Ray of Fishers and Robert Hartley, Michael Musa, Carol Stephan and Angela Weber, all of Indianapolis, were finalists for the jobs with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

Gov. Mike Pence will make the final picks from the nominees to fill vacancies from commissioners Kari Bennett and Larry Landis. Bennett's term expires at the end of next month and Landis' term expires on Dec. 31, 2015.

State law allows no more than three members of the five-person commission to come from the same political party.
