HENRIETTA, N.Y. (AP) — An upstate New York woman charged in connection with two guns used in a former neighbor's deadly Christmas Eve ambush of firefighters has pleaded not guilty to a state charge of filing a falsified business record.

Neither 24-year-old Dawn Nguyen (win) nor her lawyer spoke to reporters after the brief court appearance Tuesday night in Henrietta Town Court. Nguyen is free on the condition she not leave Monroe County except to attend college classes in a neighboring county.

She's accused of lying on a form when she bought guns later used by ex-convict William Spengler Jr. to kill two firefighters and wound three others in Webster.

Nguyen faces the same charge in federal court.
