NEW YORK (AP) — A judge has granted an injunction barring New York City's plan for a restaurant in Union Square Park.

The city plans to appeal.

There was no immediate comment from Urban Space Holdings, which runs the market, and Chef Drive Market LLC, which was chosen to run the restaurant.

Opponents say the restaurant would cater to wealthy New Yorkers only.
